The opportunity
We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career (including recent graduates) who is keen to build experience in a fast-paced global environment. You'll support key finance activities such as sales order processing, invoicing, and credit control, while developing your skills within a supportive team.
What you'll do
Support the creation and issuing of customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timelines.
Allocate payments in accordance with customer remittances.
Assist with credit checks and monitoring customer account limits.
Follow up on outstanding payments via phone and email.
Help investigate and resolve customer queries, liaising with the wider business where needed.
Liaise with the Sales team regarding customer issues and queries.
Support the team in achieving monthly cash targets.
Assist with account reconciliation and maintaining accurate records.
Get involved in general finance admin and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
What we're looking for
Some exposure to finance/admin is a bonus, but not essential.
Great communication skills, with ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
Comfortable speaking with customers and helping to resolve queries in a clear and friendly way.
Eager to learn how to manage customer accounts and support solutions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness to take initiative and grow confidence in decision-making over time.
Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with systems like SAP is a nice-to-have.
What you'll get
Salary: €30,000-€35,000 (depending on experience).
Hybrid Working Model: 3 days onsite (Waterford Office) and 2 days remote.
